2024 HIA Award Winner - Emerson

Metro Homes are excited to announce that the Emerson display home has been awarded Best Display Home (up to $350k) at the 2024 HIA-CSR South Australia Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, recognising excellence in South Australian home design, innovation, and craftsmanship.

The Emerson is currently on display at Hurtle Grove estate, Old Reynalla.    

This 3-bedroom house showcases a clean and well executed finish; from feature tiling to the fireplace wall to the thought out layout of the kitchen. 

The exterior is a modern façade with parapet roof design, crisp white render and sleek garage door with warmth from the timber front door, brick and tiled pier. The final finish is light and fresh without being too stark. 

Continuing the crisp fresh look internally the feel is balanced with warm timber joinery, gold accents and green touches in the tiling and feature walls. The joinery detail with shaker doors and delicate handles also adds to its final appeal. 

A few innovations of design to note include, the double pantry entry allowing the space to feel more connected to the kitchen rather then an enclosed space along with the large timber island, tiled fireplace and feature entertainment wall adding soft features amongst a fresh palette.

Despite the narrow block the house steers away from internally feeling narrow with the entry being wider than most and including a coffer ceiling, large and open kitchen/living and wide secondary rooms such as the second living, large laundry, and bedrooms.
